This post is dedicated to my SuperMom and SuperGrandmother. I would not have made it to this place today without their unconditional love and support. I love you Mom and Grandma!! Here is a comic I found that could not be more true about the two of you. I remember having several conversations like this with my sister, Kathryn when we were little. Ok fine, we just had one just last week, too. 🙂
I will leave you all with a little joke photo I swiped from the internet. My mom and I love the “I can has cheezburger” site for a few (sometimes slightly inappropriate) giggles. Here is a cute Mother’s day snapshot for all of the Mothers out there who always share everything with their children.
Ciao, lovely people! Welcome to my blog and my quest to ~Capture Life~ for each of you unique individuals. I’m happy to be here and excited to meet all of you!
Here is a photo I took during a moment in my 7 year stop-over in New York City. A gorgeous way to start a blog.
It reminds me of The Great Bridge by David McCullough. It is an intriguing read about the building process of the Brooklyn Bridge. When you see the bridge, your imagination starts to run wild thinking about how much actually went in to the idea, planning, and red tape to build the bridge. Yes, there was plenty of red tape, even all those years ago. 🙂 The New York state legislature gave the go ahead for the bridge in 1866, and the roadway of the bridge was finally completed in 1883. Though on my bad days, I’m still thankful that I didn’t have to deal with the Brooklyn mafia or not fully understanding the bends in the 1860s.
John Roebling and his eldest son, Washington Roebling had absolutely amazing minds. Their sort tend to be few and far between today. WIthout them, there would be a very different bridge connecting Brooklyn to Manhattan…one missing John and Washington’s visionary abundance. They truly were revolutionaries.
It is quite an interesting book if you like historical novels, which I do! Pick up a copy, it’s worth it. The rest of his books are definitely on my list to read in between my photography shoots!
