“Our stories are the most powerful things we hold in this world.” – Hannah Brencher
Hanna is a Random Acts of Kindness winner. This group looks to change the world through kindness. Imagine…being chosen as an actual winner for your random acts of kindness. 🙂 That’s one award I’d actually love to receive. Hannah demonstrates how a simple act of kindness can turn life around for the giver and receiver. Hannah is the founder of The World Needs More Love Letters. She leaves notes for strangers to find, she writes and sends love letters to people she will never meet. Hannah wrote her first love letter to one lonely girl on a train in New York City. That escalated to 400 letters, and then became 12 team writers and then 11,000 letters being mailed in 49 countries and all 50 states.
Two of my most favorite people and photographers, Justin and Mary Marantz featured Hannah during their 2013 WPPI Platform Presentation. J&M can afford to be choosy about their presentations and features. This husband and wife team are rock stars in the wedding photography field. These two are all around genuine and lovely people. The fact that they chose to feature Hannah speaks volumes about the person she is, the work she creates, and the positive mark she leaves on the world.
Hannah’s blog is full of honesty. She writes as though you are her closest friend. I find myself wanting to call her up and chat after reading some of her posts. Were more people like her, there were be much less second guessing and stressing about judgement.
Hannah takes the time to give back in so many ways. One of my favorites is a little something she calls her “Brew Sessions.” Hannah describes her Brew Sessions as, “creative brainstorming + mentoring sessions designed specially for bloggers, small business owners, movers & shakers, original gangsters, and the fairest of them all. don’t try to act like you’re not in one of those categories.”
“Brew Sessions are one-on-one creative coaching & mentoring sessions, specially designed for the movers and shakers who want to ramp life and business up to the next level. You and I meet together with cups of coffee in hand over Skype or phone for one solid hour. We focus the hour on what you need guidance on– from time management and goal setting to refining your online identity or starting a blog.
Every Brew Session is guaranteed to provide much of the following: new ideas. problems solved. good coffee. roadblocks lifted. creativity. the big “what’s next.” goal setting. shouting from the rooftops. nitty, gritty details. planning. red lipstick. passion plotting. good, good conversation.“
For anyone feeling lost or a small business owner in need of some mentoring, consider one of Hannah’s Brew Sessions. If she can change a stranger’s life through a handwritten letter, imagine what she could do for you – one on one. If you’re ever looking for a bit of peace and safety, head over and check out Hannah and her wonderfulness. 🙂 You’ll be glad you did.
Cheers,
Kristyn
